The partnership between Riyadh University of Arts (RUA)’s College of Theater and Performing Arts and AMDA College of the Performing Arts supports the development of world-class academic programs within the College of Theater and Performing Arts, furthering the growth of the Kingdom’s theater and performing arts sector while advancing performance education regionally and globally.
Founded in 1964, AMDA has long been a leader in higher education and professional training in theater and the performing arts. With campuses in New York and Los Angeles, AMDA is recognized for its practice-based, career-focused curriculum and its connections to the theater, film, television, and entertainment industries worldwide.

Founded in 1880 and based in the City of London, Guildhall School of Music & Drama is one of the world's leading conservatoires, known for its rigorous professional training in music, drama, and production arts. The partnership between Riyadh University of Arts (RUA)’s College of Heritage and Civilization Studies and SOAS University of London supports the development of the College’s programs, enriching heritage education in the Kingdom within a global framework, and promoting cultural diversity through international academic exchange.
SOAS University of London is a world-renowned academic and research institution and the only higher education institution in Europe specializing in the study of Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Its interdisciplinary approach spans the arts, humanities, and social sciences, offering a globally informed perspective on cultural, societal, and intellectual traditions.
This partnership encompasses collaboration on the co-design and delivery of specialized academic programs across heritage and cultural disciplines, including the delivery of postgraduate programs by SOAS faculty, as well as knowledge transfer and capacity building for RUA’s academic teams. Founded in London in 1837, the Royal College of Art is a specialist postgraduate institution recognized for its practice-based approach, interdisciplinary education, and research-led teaching across art, design, architecture, and the humanities, shaping creative practice and critical inquiry on a global scale.
This partnership represents a collaborative academic model that includes the co-design and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the College of Design and Architecture and the College of Visual Arts and Photography across diverse design disciplines including architecture, design, urban design and visual arts. Through this collaboration, students develop technical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, while building competencies in traditional and contemporary visual arts practices, bridging heritage and innovation within a global creative context.
